Happy New Year!

Wow, what a busy year I've had! I think I need to start a New Years resolution. That will be to post at least once a week! I'm so bad at remembering! All well, I'll try to be better this year. Along with blogging I need to complete a few more tasks.
1. Update my website, I have at least 3 new patterns not up.
2. Add my patterns to Ravelry.
3. Design several new patterns for the spring/summer show.

I'm sure I'll come up with more, but this is all I can think of for now;0

Here are some of my new patterns:

Marian's Merry Mitts

Glove Toppers
Cabled Glove Toppers
And

That's a Lot of Lace!

Along with these patterns; I've completed a pair of socks for my dad, started a sweater and pair of socks for myself, started a secret present for Mimi, and started a secret design(more to come about this later). I'll post pictures of my daddy's socks and the progress of my socks next week.

Happy New Year everyone!!!

WOW, has it been ages. My summer has gone by so fast, I haven't had time to write. Not to much is new, except I've designed a pair of leg warmers.
They are soooooo soft!!! And they should be since they're made out of Merino wool:)
Not on the topic of knitting:

I had some interesting hair experiences. A couple months ago I dyed my hair a sandy blond, only I used permanent hair dye. Once it started to grow out I thought I'd try red, only this time I used semi-permanent dye. It was BRIGHT RED and my roots were a different color. Oops!! So since we had a family birthday party to go to, I washed my hair with dish soap. The color diminished and it did not look so bad. After that washed out I dyed it back to brown.

After a few weeks of that I decided to get it all chopped of and start again. BUT I decided to dye it red again.....

This time it really looks good. I think I'll keep it for a while.

O.K. done with non-knitting talk.

Update on Masters knitting...

I've finished all the swatches and the hat. All that's left is working all the ends in (yuck!!!!), and writing the answers(double yuck!!!) Once I finish all that I'll send it in.

That's it for now,

A New pattern is out

Hiya,

I just sent a shipment of patterns to the yarn company, and included in the shipment is a brand new pattern!!!

"Lingering Doubts Shawl"

I'm very pleased with the turn out. The transformation was amazing!!! One minute it was a big tangled mess, after I blocked it - a shawl!!!

It's official, I'm a knitting Goddess!!

You can take the test here.

Right now I'm working on socks, with the wool I dyed. I have a doll sweater on dpn's too. It's cold and wet outside, and I'm dreaming of the warm, sunny days of spring. I'm trying working on some design ideas, but I'm in a design slump:( I blame it on the weather, one can not possibly design when its so grey, and dreary outside. I need sun!!!

Oh well, there are somethings thing to look forward to in February.

My dad's and my birthday!!!

And

Valentines Day!!!!!

First Post of the New Year

Happy New Year!

Wow, it's been a while since I've bloged!

Not to much has happened, although Thanksgiving and Christmas were great!!! We all had such a nice time visiting our family.

I've been meaning to post pictures of my Kool-Aid dying experience, so here they are.

The colors I used:

Blue

Light Purple

Dark Purple

First I wound the wool into one long skien, I then soaked it in a solution of water and vinegar.
Next I mixed the colors in about 2 cups of water.
Then I set the color in the microwave, I then rinsed the wool and let it drain.

I didn't like the color, so back up to the store I went and bought a few more packs of Kool-Aid.

I mixed up the colors, this time I added 1 cup of water. I set the color, rinsed it out and hung it up to dry.
After it was dry I wound it in a skien and knit up a swatch.
I'm very pleased with the way the colors turned out, some math was involved in order to get it to stripe. I've started the socks and finished the cuff on the one sock and am working on the heel flap of the other. I'll post pictures later.

I'm working on updating my web-site with to of my new patterns. So check it out.
They'll be up on Ravelry in a day or two, just search "Posh Knits" and you'll find all my patterns!!

Natural Stitches

Just a quick post today, later I'll post pics of my kool-aid dying.

I just went to Natural Stitches, Pittsburgh's newest yarn store. It was amazing!!!!
Everyone was friendly, and the yarn was priced soooo reasonably. Even the hand dyed yarn was a good price!!
If your in the area, oh heck even if your not in the area, you need to stop by. It is easily one of the nicest yarn stores around.
